Owned by Bono & The Edge of Irish rock group U2, The Clarence is very much a reflection of 21st centry Ireland. Each room and suite has been individually designed to provide accommodation that is simple, elegant and refined. Twin rooms are available but the majority of rooms have super king-size double beds.

No two rooms or suites are alike and are decorated in one of the hotel's five signature colours: crimson, royal blue, amethyst, gold and chocolate. Shaker-style furniture, specially crafted beds with Egyptian linens and spacious white tiled bathrooms with pedestal sinks and oak cabinets.

With its superb views of The River Liffey below and the cityscape fanning north and south-east toward the horizon of the Dublin mountains, The Penthouse at The Clarence is the perfect hideaway for those guests seeking luxury and a friendly but unobtrusive service.

This is a duplex suite with its 2 bedrooms located at either end of the entry level, and, like other guest rooms in the hotel, they are decorated with custom-designed oak furniture and heavy cotton velvet drapes in one of the hotel's five signature colours. On this level there is also a sitting room, kitchenette and dining room for up to 8 people. A spiral staircase leads up to an upstairs open loft area with an angled, skylit ceiling housing a stereo system, baby piano and bar. Outside on the terrace, is the famous Penthouse hot tub with its panoramic city views.
